Our Ethos...

I, as principal, with a small team will work on transferable skills, such as using technology to create performance material. Working on creating projects within the local community. Finding new and exciting ways to show performance-based projects and sharing with others.

90% of a performer's time is spent in the studio perfecting their skills, lets use this time efficiently, by having good planning and an end project within the term.

Let's give our future performers the best opportunity to achieve, be creative, learn new skills, and be nurtured in an environment that is both safe and inclusive. Unleashing potential in all students so they have pride in themselves and the skills they have learned.

Suzanne Sharkey
Our Principal

Before my role as principal, I had an extensive performing career on stage and television, working for iconic choreographers of the time. This led to directing and choreographing dance and fashion shows, as well as solo, duet, and small groups to big assemble performances. A versatile background as a professional gave me a sound platform on which to transfer my skills into the field of teaching. After qualifying with ISTD I have constantly updated my qualifications and I am currently working towards my Fellowship with the ISTD.

My core subjects are jazz, contemporary, lyrical, body conditioning, stretch and control, technique, and choreography. I also teach Ballet, Tap and Modern with the ISTD examination board.

I am very passionate about my choreography and have won awards for my solo and group dances. My dancers have won awards at the prestigious Janet Cram over 10 times. I hold the honour of winning all three sections in these awards. I am a determined, focused, and passionate individual. I pride myself on my work ethic. I am trustworthy and enjoy learning new skills and thrive off the opportunity to develop as a creative teacher. I place a great deal of importance on making a difference to every student, and by investing time into each student.
